Rachel Toner

Rachel Toner

Rachel Toner has been employed as a WSGS oil and gas geologist since March 2013. A native of Sheridan, Wyoming, she received B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology from the University of Wyoming. She has previously worked as a GIS/database analyst for an environmental and engineering firm, as a WSGS contract geologist, and in hydrology positions.

Her current work at the WSGS focuses on researching reservoir and well completion characteristics that explain production trends in the Powder River and Denver basins' stacked unconventional reservoirs. She also develops and maintains online GIS mapping platforms for Wyoming's oil and gas reservoir and infrastructure data.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys traveling, playing tennis and softball, camping, and dogsledding with her four Siberian huskies.
